Intermediate Capstone: Quantum Proof-of-Concept Proposal
The closing assessment of this course: applied understanding, not memorization. It is self-paced and self-assessed: write it as if a real decision depended on it, because that is the skill being built.
The brief
Develop a 6–10 page proposal for a realistic quantum proof of concept. Choose chemistry/materials, optimization, finance, AI, sensing, or cybersecurity. Include the business problem, mathematical formulation, quantum algorithm, classical baseline, hardware requirements, data flow, error and sampling budget, success criteria, cost estimate, timeline, risks, and a go/no-go decision framework.
