Beginner Capstone: Executive Briefing
The closing assessment of this course: applied understanding, not memorization. It is self-paced and self-assessed: write it as if a real decision depended on it, because that is the skill being built.
The brief
Prepare a 5–7 minute executive briefing titled "Quantum Computing: Opportunity, Risk, and What to Do Now." It must include: a one-sentence definition; the roles of superposition, entanglement, and interference; one hardware challenge; one high-potential application; cybersecurity implications; and a balanced recommendation.
Grading rubric
25 points each for accuracy, clarity, evidence, and practical judgment.
Preparation
Write a two-page briefing for a board or investment committee explaining what quantum computing is, what it is not, the three most plausible value areas, the main technical threshold, and the recommended actions today.
